In our particular use case, we want to list a number of sessions for an event. We think it would be handy if a signed-in user could add an entry to 'favorites' and then later filter by favorites (together with time-slot, for example). This way they can more easily build their own schedule for the day.
This would probably also be useful if you're using calendar view to list events, for example.
