Nested Views
Original idea: https://gravitywiz.com/documentation/gravity-forms-nested-forms/
Sometimes you need to create "child" entries from a "parent" view. To see those child entries you need to create another independent view. It would be great that you can see those child entries nested in its parent view. For example you can have "Projects" as a parent view and "Invoices" as (a view of) child entries created from each "project". With nested views it would be possible to see inside each "project" its own "invoices".
Or maybe it is just a matter to make Gravity View compatible with: https://gravitywiz.com/documentation/gravity-forms-nested-forms/
Regards!

Allow viewer to change page_size with a number range dropdown.
Some of my employees want to see only 40 entries on a view, others want to see all more in the same view.

Filter by user id
This will allow gravity view to be used by e-learning sites, allowing users to view their test submission (and the answers if configured in the notifications). Integrating this with the save and continue feature would be fantastic.

Add a hook in order to display pre-filtered entries for front end user
add a hook function that would allow developer to display entries that match a custom criteria
1 voteHi! Check out the `gravityview_get_entries` filter, that does what you need: https://github.com/gravityview/GravityView/blob/1e56843f3554e5bb132586afd59b6addf411be5e/includes/class-frontend-views.php#L1148-L1163

set up different view types between Multiple Entries and Single Entry
for example the Multiple Entries view is set as a Table View, but when drilling into an entry it is formatted as a List View.
Would be helpful for form entries with many entries, each with a lot of fields as a simplified summary could be shown via the Table View, but a formatted summary of the entry with Subheadings and Listing Titles is displayed when selecting the individual entry.13 votesWe're glad to report that you're now able to switch view types between Multiple Entries and Single Entry layouts!
This feature was added in GravityView 2.24. Learn more about the feature.

Add a "blank" view by default
Such a view would solve the need of many web developers. I made one (makeshift solution) myself and created a nice responsive grid view simply with html and css. It would be nice to have this as default
1 voteThis is possible now with our DIY Layout: https://gravityview.co/extensions/diy-layout/

Allow views with an inactive form
We make forms inactive for management and also so no one can access them on the front end. This seems to disconnect them form the "Views". Can we keep a view connected to a form even if it is set to inactive?
1 voteThis was fixed in 1.19, thanks for suggesting!

Datatables Inline Editing
I'd like to see the datatables inline editing (on blur) add-on integrated with GV datatables. This is a requested feature from many clients. Also, I think it's a super quick way to update an entry.
Example is found here: https://editor.datatables.net/examples/inline-editing/options.html
7 votesHi!
I’m happy to share that we’ve released a brand-new Inline Edit plugin that makes it easy to update entries from the frontend. It makes editing entries super-fast.DataTables support isn’t ready yet—we’re working on it, because it’ll be a killer feature—and it will be ready soon.
You can get the plugin here: http://gravityview.co/extensions/gravityview-inline-edit/
It’s really sweet. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello all, I am a ne user of this plugin and loving it.
I would absolutely love to be able to create a new view using the visualstudio design page. In other words, I am trying to figure out how to have 3 columns as opposed to 2 and would love to be able to style it easier and so on and so forth. Not sure of the difficulty there but it sure sounds like it would be cool. I want to be able to create the view layout in the wordpress admin panel so i can have more control of the frontend layout and the data that is displayed in each section.…
3 votesWe have updated our approach and we’re going to be using the Gutenberg editor that’s coming soon to WordPress to manage our GravityView layouts.
This is in the works, and we’re planning on having it done by the end of the year (read more here: https://gravityview.co/2018-is-going-to-be-awesome/)
In the meantime, I recommend using the DIY Layout tool to create custom layouts with the data you want: https://gravityview.co/extensions/diy-layout/
Thanks for your support of this idea!

Map View - Geo Locate
It would be GREAT if the maps view geolocated to the user looking at it. From a PC or a Mobile.
It would be even better if when it geolocated, (in multiple view) it only showed the listings (below the map) of the listings in the geolocated view!
Also - it would be very cool if when someone ZOOMS in on a map, the listings below only show the pins that show in the zoomed in map.
Cheers,
Gil14 votesIn Maps version 3.1, we introduced the Request Location setting, which—when enabled—prompts users for their location and automatically triggers a radius search to show nearby listings.
As for dynamically filtering listings based on zooming and panning, we added this funtionality in Maps 2.0, along with address field autocomplete. You can read about that functionality here.

Map View - Add Hovers To Pins
Love the Map View and the Map Widget!
Adding hovers to the pins with at least the title of the listing would be great!
That's it! For this idea ;-)

entry comments
Allow public comments on individual entries within a view.
4 votesThere's a way to achieve that by embedding a form and a View into the Single Entry page of a View. You can read more about that here: https://docs.gravitykit.com/article/860-creating-a-review-voting-system-by-embedding-a-form-into-a-single-entry
