Ideas for using GV for online petitions
GV could easily become a way for nonprofits to mirror the function of sites like Change.org
After realizing that all a petition needs is names and emails in CSV, I created a custom form for a client, but what is was missing was a way to display the latest signatures on the site. This is important for drumming up community support!
GV is 80% there to making this work perfectly. Here are the featured that I would like to see (some of them already mentioned in other threads):
1. Showing results only for people who "opt in" to have their data listed
2. Hiding labels for fields if the entry doesn't have content for that field
3. A shortcode with a count of the number of entries submitted
4. A time stamp on each entry (this is less important)
All in all, thank you for the work you're putting into this project. There is great possibility and the industry really needs this!

Hi Hannah,
Great idea for a preset, thanks!A couple of these items are already available:
#1 We're working on this.
#2 Hiding labels for empty fields is an option in the Edit View > View Setting settings box since version 1.0.5.
#3 I've added this to 1.0.7 - it works better in full-on Views and not embedded views, but it's working in the next update. Read here: https://katzwebservices.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201103045
#4 You can add an Entry Date field (Edit View > Add Field > Entry Date) to add a timestamp, and you can even override the date format by modifying those settings.
Thanks again for your idea!
