Datatables Inline Editing
I'd like to see the datatables inline editing (on blur) add-on integrated with GV datatables. This is a requested feature from many clients. Also, I think it's a super quick way to update an entry.
Example is found here: https://editor.datatables.net/examples/inline-editing/options.html
7 votesHi!
I’m happy to share that we’ve released a brand-new Inline Edit plugin that makes it easy to update entries from the frontend. It makes editing entries super-fast.DataTables support isn’t ready yet—we’re working on it, because it’ll be a killer feature—and it will be ready soon.
You can get the plugin here: http://gravityview.co/extensions/gravityview-inline-edit/
It’s really sweet. I hope you enjoy it!

Add a hook in order to display pre-filtered entries for front end user
add a hook function that would allow developer to display entries that match a custom criteria
1 voteHi! Check out the `gravityview_get_entries` filter, that does what you need: https://github.com/gravityview/GravityView/blob/1e56843f3554e5bb132586afd59b6addf411be5e/includes/class-frontend-views.php#L1148-L1163
Thanks!

Add a "blank" view by default
Such a view would solve the need of many web developers. I made one (makeshift solution) myself and created a nice responsive grid view simply with html and css. It would be nice to have this as default
1 voteThis is possible now with our DIY Layout: https://gravityview.co/extensions/diy-layout/

Allow views with an inactive form
We make forms inactive for management and also so no one can access them on the front end. This seems to disconnect them form the "Views". Can we keep a view connected to a form even if it is set to inactive?
1 voteThis was fixed in 1.19, thanks for suggesting!

Hello all, I am a ne user of this plugin and loving it.
I would absolutely love to be able to create a new view using the visualstudio design page. In other words, I am trying to figure out how to have 3 columns as opposed to 2 and would love to be able to style it easier and so on and so forth. Not sure of the difficulty there but it sure sounds like it would be cool. I want to be able to create the view layout in the wordpress admin panel so i can have more control of the frontend layout and the data that is displayed in each section.…
3 votesWe have updated our approach and we’re going to be using the Gutenberg editor that’s coming soon to WordPress to manage our GravityView layouts.
This is in the works, and we’re planning on having it done by the end of the year (read more here: https://gravityview.co/2018-is-going-to-be-awesome/)
In the meantime, I recommend using the DIY Layout tool to create custom layouts with the data you want: https://gravityview.co/extensions/diy-layout/
Thanks for your support of this idea!

Map View - Add Hovers To Pins
Love the Map View and the Map Widget!
Adding hovers to the pins with at least the title of the listing would be great!
That's it! For this idea ;-)

Allow multiple forms as data sources in one GravityView
Use data from multiple forms on one View.
125 votesGravityView has always allowed you to display data from a single form. Now with the new Multiple Forms plugin (https://gravityview.co/extensions/multiple-forms/), you can display data in a View from multiple forms at once.
Here’s how a customer described one way they will use this functionality:
> I would specifically like this feature…so that one set of data like a “Geographic Region” with all the details about that region could then be displayed when a “Business” chooses that same “Region” when creating their entry.
This is now easy to create using the Multiple Forms plugin.
Features coming soon to the plugin
Multiple Forms is a complex plugin, so we will be rolling out functionality in stages.
Right now, Multiple Forms combines entries from connected forms into a single row. It cannot display entries from multiple forms as separate rows. We know this is a common request, and we will have…

Featured Entries Widget
We would like to have a widget for the Featured Entries plugin, that would allow a "featured listings" widget to be added to sidebar. This would allow featured listings to be rotated through, 1 at a time, 2 at a time, etc. with a thumbnail or other data included. This would allow us to have featured listings displayed throughout the website in a widget.

Give an option to change the message "NO ENTRIES MATCH YOUR REQUEST."
Just doesn't fit for my purpose. I'd like to be able to provide my own text here.
1 voteHello – this is currently possible using the `gravityview_no_entries_text` filter.
Read how to modify it here: https://gravityview.co/support/documentation/203394079/
Thanks!

Conditional logic for Custom Content
Add conditional logic for Custom Content. This way it should be possible to show or hide certain Custom Content fields based on the entry input.
9 votesThis is possible using the [gvlogic] shortcode, introduced in GravityView 1.7.5. Learn how to use it: http://docs.gravityview.co/article/252-gvlogic-shortcode
Thanks for supporting this idea!

Add a grid view
It would be great to see a format with entries displayed as a grid view, with the grid displaying a featured image and title only (like http://www.craftsy.com/classes/cake-decorating?_ct=wberqbdql-sbqiiui)
17 votesWe have released the DIY Layout, which allows you to easily turn entries into a grid using some CSS.
Check out the demo I put together: https://demo.gravityview.co/view/diy/
And here’s the code I used to make that layout: https://gist.github.com/zackkatz/7e48220bd153b4f63a24ecb3ea147d6f
I’m working on a complete how-to that will be listed in the DIY Layout docs, so stay tuned here: https://docs.gravityview.co/category/436-diy-layout
Please let me know if this won’t work for your needs, and why. Thanks!

Allow filtering on Merge Tags (i.e. field = user meta data)
It would be great to allow views to be filtered according to [Field Name] = {user:[meta_key]}, just like Gravity Forms lets you set the default value for fields to be equal to user meta-data.
This would allow filtering by user role, custom meta data (e.g. for sites using Members or user meta-data plug-ins) and (in combination with some more advanced edit view permissions) opens the door to a variety of workflow scenarios.

Changelog for entries
Like a WP article, show who edited what in the entry. If possible with an opportunity to restore an entry to a previous date.

Send an email when the entry is updated, like GF.

Add a short code parameter for entry ID
I'd like to be able to embed a View in a post such that a specific, designated single entry shows up. For example, if my view is a directory of people, I may want to have the entry for Frank Jones show up in the bottom of a particular post. Right now I can accomplish this with something like: [gravityview id='863' searchfield="2" searchvalue="jones"] but if we have more than one Jones, we'll get more than one result. So I'd like to be able to do this: [gravityview id='863' entry-id="3"] where the ID for the Frank Jones entry is…
4 votesThis is possible with the [gventry] shortcode—just set the Entry ID and the View ID it’s connected to, and you’re all set! https://docs.gravityview.co/article/463-gventry-shortcode
